I've used it in all sorts of different fractures, from sesamoid fractures to splint bone fractures to lateral maleolus fractures of the distal tibia. All of the horses that I used them on were able to go and compete at the same level they were prior to their injury.
I've had very good client compliance with using it and they are actually able to do this every single day on their own.

There's no downside to it, there's no negative effects to it, we've had it on over half a dozen different horses, for different ailments and every single horse has improved at a faster rate than what I would expect them under normal circumstances.
The device itself is very easy to use. The nice thing about it is you basically put the electrode on, wrap the boot around their leg, push the button and you forget about them for 20 minutes. I've got one gentlemen that puts it on and it takes probably 15 minutes of his day to treat three or four horses.
I've used about every machine that has come on the market from ultrasound, magnetic blanket, thermal blanket, you name it and I've tried it, lasers, etc...This is by far the easiest, less time consuming and cost effective machine I've ever used.

We've used it on fractured sesamoids, on sore shins - it in fact does what it's supposed to, it heals in half the time that it would normally take so you get the horses back in training and back in racing that much quicker.
The device is very easy to use - you put it on the horse and just have somebody check on the horse every once and a while - it does its thing. You push a button, it says go and that's all there is to it. It's pretty foolproof.
Horses respond to it, they heal quicker with the machine.
It's one of the few devices that has a lot of science behind it, that it works like it should, and speeds healing and gets the horses back to the races.

Compared to conventional ultrasound it's a snap. You just put it on the area you mean to treat, set the machine for a cycle and you can pretty much leave a horse tied up at its hay net. My old ultrasound machine requires me to run it, to keep the head moving.I find this is a huge improvement.
Of course we like to keep these things to ourselves if something works, but this machine works and I have to recommend it highly.

As a Board Certified surgeon and performance horse practitioner, I have recommended the Statison V for use on both surgical and non-surgical patients. I have been pleased with the results of the Statison V, especially in difficult chronic cases. The science behind the device and the results obtained together make this a valuable tool in my practice. |

I have used the Statison V on soft Tissue injuries and have had outstanding results. Our practice has treated many show jumpers in the past three years that I believe have benefited form using this modality. |
